Sherrill Douglas to Star in Patsy Cline Musical Tribute at Tulsa Little Theater
Tulsa, OK – "Crazy 'bout Patsy", Musical Tribute to Patsy Cline starring entertainer/impersonator,
Sherrill Douglas will be held at the Tulsa Little Theatre located at 1511 South Delaware in Tulsa,
Friday, August 14, 2009, at 2:00 PM (matinee) and Saturday, August 15, 2009, at 7:30 PM.
Ms. Douglas will perform all the hits of Patsy Cline such as, "Crazy", "Sweet Dreams", "Walkin'
after Midnight" , "I Fall to Pieces", "She's Got You" plus many more. According to Sandy Clark,
Manager of Sweet Dreams Productions, Ms. Douglas authentically portrays the late Ms. Cline and
recreates an actual Patsy Cline concert.
"Ms. Douglas has been recognized by Patsy Cline fans as the number one Patsy Cline Tribute
Artist in the World. She has accurately duplicated Patsy Clines' costumes and sounds so much
like Patsy the audience thinks she is lip-syncing", according to Ms. Clark.
Ms. Douglas has been known to run the gamut from poignant love songs to an all out hoe down
and has received rave reviews worldwide. The show recently was invited for an extended stay at
Tropicana World Casino in Atlantic City. "Ms. Douglas has been described as a 'belter' and many
Patsy fans get choked up when she sings. All of the audiences appreciate Ms. Douglas' talent as
she is comedic, high octane and big on audience interaction", reports Ms. Clark.
Tickets are $25 and can be purchased by calling 918-430-5364 or 972-661-1166 or on-line at
www.sherrilldouglas.com. "We
recommend that folks book their tickets early as this is a smaller venue for Ms. Douglas and
we expect a sell-out for this powerhouse show", says Ms. Clark.
This will be Ms. Douglas's first performance in the Tulsa Little Theatre. It was built in
1932 and has been restored for the local arts. According to Sunshine Hill, owner of the Tulsa
Little Theatre, "it is a quaint theatre with an intimate setting. Most audiences here appreciate
the nostalgia of the theater and the fact that it is a smaller venue. The audiences like being
close to the stage and the action and thus feel a part of the show."
Since Ms. Douglas was a child, she has perfected the vocal style and range of Country's
number one beloved Legend, Patsy Cline. Ms. Douglas has been described as "the spittin' image
of Patsy Cline", the "Cline Clone" and "Patsy Clone".
"I started singing the music of Patsy Cline when I was 10 years old to impress my father",
says Ms. Douglas. "Later, I began to sing professionally and I thought it would be fun fore
veryone if I dressed up as Patsy so the audience would feel that they were actually seeing
Patsy in concert. I am very honored that God blessed me with the voice to keep the music of
this legendary superstar alive", said Ms. Douglas.
Patsy Cline perished with her manager and several other famous country singers in a place
crash in 1963 after returning from a benefit concert in Kansas City.
Ms. Douglas is a life-long entertainer and is based in Dallas, TX. She is currently selling
out theatres nationwide. Ms. Douglas also impersonates Dolly Parton and Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac.
